To place the hooks, lay art face down and pull hanging wire toward top of frame in two spots the same distance from top. These spots are where hangers will go. The further apart they are, the closer the art will be to the wall.

Measure the distance between these two spots, then measure the distance between one
of them and the top of frame.

Transfer these dimensions to the wall
starting with your center mark, and install wall hangers at the two hanging spots.

Arrange them for visual balance.

Separate items of similar size, subject or color. When the arrangement is just right, begin hanging with the central piece, then use it as a reference point for the others.

We carry the very highest quality custom framing materials, including:

• Artcare archival matboard from Bainbridge, the only matboard that actively protects art from pollutants and acid by-products that can fade and deteriorate it.

• Nielsen metal moulding, whose design, quality and innovation make it perfect for posters, photographs, and contemporary art.

• Nurre Caxton's Contemporary Classics wood moulding. By combining elements of classic and contemporary art, their appeal transcends any period or style.

Hanging devices.
Never just hammer a nail into the wall. There are many hanging devices to choose from, depending on the composition of your walls and the weight of the art. Hang art on two hooks of appropriate size for the weight of the piece. Heavier pieces should be hung with D rings.

Positioning.
Hold the art against the wall where you want to hang it. How high you hang it depends on personal preference. Start with its center five feet high, then adjust it to your taste. Make a small pencil mark on the wall at the top center of the frame.

Leveling.
Use two hooks and two wall hangers. This provides even—and level—support, and affords insurance if one hook fails
